
Spirit Airlines soon will offer daily nonstop flights from San Antonio to Atlanta. The budget carrier also will begin direct flights to New Orleans for the Mardi Gras season.
Spirit Airlines’ daily direct flights to Atlanta will start April 9, 2025, according to San Antonio city officials. Delta Airlines and Southwest Airlines already offer nonstop flights to Atlanta from the Alamo City.
Spirit’s nonstop flights to ATL will adhere to the following schedule:
- Frequency: Once daily, year-round
- Departs SAT at 12:16 p.m.; arrives at 3:41 p.m.
- Departs ATL at 10:06 a.m.; arrives at 11:26 a.m.
As a seasonal offer, Spirit will offer daily, direct flights to New Orleans from Feb. 20 through March 9. For reference, Fat Tuesday, the height of Mardi Gras season, lands on March 4 this year.
Here is the schedule of Spirit’s special Mardi Gras promotion:
- Frequency: Once daily, Feb. 20-March 9
- Departs SAT at 11:30 a.m.; arrives at MSY at 12:55 p.m.
- Departs MSY at 1:45 p.m.; arrives at SAT at 3:15 p.m.
“We’re pumped to see Spirit offering a new way for people to get to Mardi Gras,” Jacob Tyler, air service administrator for the City of San Antonio Aviation Department, said in a statement. “Spirit’s investment in San Antonio shows as they continue to meet our travelers’ needs.”
