Jim Mendiola’s latest video honors indestructible Tim Duncan via Joe Barajas (“Joe the Barber”), who shaved a Duncan portrait on a customer’s head at his barber shop. He’s the same barber who last year did a Matt Bonner portrait on the head of a Woodlake Hills Middle School student who got suspended for it.
Mendiola met Barajas through partner Faith Radle, who had him as a math student. “She said she knew him, and I said I wanted to make a video about him,” Mendiola told the Current. “It’s part of series I want to do about Spurs fans.”
Prepare your camera, dude, and prepare yourself, Joe the Barber: after the Spurs win the fifth ring, I want Manu on my head. The biggest challenge will be to find any hair to work with, but I’ll be there.
