The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office has identified the 15-year-old victim as Noel Reyna.

Original story:

A 15-year-old was shot to death Monday night outside a Whataburger in Northeast Bexar County, just hours after he had attended a wake at a funeral home for his 16-year-old best friend who had been shot and killed the day before.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s office is searching for the person who shot the 15-year-old several times with a rifle in the Whataburger drive-thru. According to deputies, the shooter and the 15-year-old, who knew each other, had argued at the wake, and the dispute continued at the Whataburger after the shooter followed the 15 year-old and his family there, News4SanAntonio reported.

Police were called to the Whataburger on Walzem Road and FM 78 at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Monday. The 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, and no one else was injured.

A day earlier, 16-year-old Reginald Adams was killed in a drug-related shooting at an apartment complex in Converse, just two miles away from the Whataburger where the 15-year-old victim was killed. Adams and the 15-year-old were believed to be best friends.
