The following story is a piece of opinion and analysis.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and U.S. Sen. John Cornyn have finally found moral ground so low they might as well be doing backstrokes through sewer water with red MAGA Floaties strapped around their flabby biceps.

In case anyone missed it, the pair of Trump sycophants — who just happen to be facing off in an increasingly absurd Republican Senate primary — took to Twitter to praise ICE in the immediate aftermath of the fatal shooting of 37-year-old mother Renee Good in Minneapolis by a masked federal agent.

As news of Good’s death broke, Paxton retweeted both DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s bullshit claim that the the Minneapolis mom “weaponized her vehicle” against the ICE officer who gunned her down and Vice President JD Vance’s threat to go after “radicals” who are “assaulting,” “doxxing” and “threatening” ICE personnel.

Meanwhile, with news of Good’s death dominating the news cycle, Cornyn tweeted, “Thank you to all our brave law enforcement who keep us safe” and tacked on a White House statement extolling the “brave men and women of ICE” just so we could know exactly what he means by “brave law enforcement.”

Neither man tempered his comments with a “let’s wait for the facts,” “let’s not rush to judgment” or even an acknowledgement that Good’s death is a tragedy.

In short, neither bothered to display the bare minimum of human decency. They went straight to the debunked-by-actual-fucking-video MAGA fan fiction in their haste to bury their faces even deeper in the rancid folds of the Great Orange Leaders sagging asscheeks.

If there’s a textbook definition of “ghoulish,” it’s two powerful men using a woman’s death as a prop for their social-media bootlicking.

Apparently, to both Paxton — a grandstanding opportunist who racks up ethics scandals like others do frequent-flyer miles — and Cornyn — the Senate’s marble-mouthed tub of lukewarm dishwater with a Twitter account — human life is worthless when it comes the culture-war content mill.

This isn’t leadership. It’s performance art for an audience that craves cruelty as confirmation of political identity. And, as Good’s thoroughly avoidable death shows, it sure as shit ain’t about public safety. For both men, this is an infantile look-at-me game with an audience of one: the barely coherent man-child currently shit staining the White House.

With their latest online groveling sessions, Paxton and Cornyn show just how callous and pathetic they both are.

Gosh, if only there was an election coming up in less than a year in whichTexans could flush both of these turds.
