Former Saturday Night Live cast member Rob Schneider is once again saying inflammatory shit online as he grasps for relevance. This time, the comic is inexplicably directing his ire at the Texas GOP for enabling an Islamic and Marxist takeover of the state.
Schneider unleashed a two-part post on X on Monday titled “THE CONQUEST OF TEXAS And the Republicans Who Allowed It.” The posts blasted Attorney General Ken Paxton, Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, all GOP members, whom the comic accused of sitting quietly as Texas faces the nation’s “heaviest assault” by an “Islamic and Marxist threat.”
“I never thought I would watch the Islamic and Marxist threat seize large parts of our great nation,” Schneider declared. “What I never fully understood until recently is how deeply this threat is already embedded — and how rapidly it is gaining power — inside red states. The more I look, the clearer it becomes: the most important states are under the heaviest assault. Especially Texas.”
Although Schneider avoided specifically mentioning Muslim civil rights groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American and Islamic Relations (CAIR), his rant invoked a widely circulated right-wing conspiracy that alleges the organizations have ties to Hamas and other terrorist groups.
“Organizations with terror ties receive nonprofit status and political access while most elected officials either pander or look the other way,” Schneider continued. “Our own tax dollars help their madrasas expand.”
Schneider went on to claim that Texas has “Sharia courts, Sharia judges, and Sharia patrols” — all while the state’s Republican leaders do nothing.
“Our political leaders should be sounding the alarm — screaming from the mountaintops,” Schneider wrote. “When I look at the single most important red state in America — Texas — and see how little has actually been done while this threat expands and consolidates power, I feel a personal responsibility.”
Contrary to Schneider’s claims, Texas GOP leaders have repeatedly gone after Muslim organizations operating in Texas, targeting them with unfounded claims that the groups are promoting Sharia law and have ties to terrorism.
In November 2025, Abbott issued a proclamation designating CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood as foreign terrorist organizations and transnational criminal organizations.
Paxton sued CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood three months later, claiming he was taking action to stop “terrorist groups” from operating in Texas.
Schneider’s Islamophobic rant is one of many he’s unleashed railing against broader “woke” culture.
“The boomers inherited an incredible country,” Schneider said at the TPUSA Chapter Leadership Summit in July 2026. “We couldn’t have lowered the bar any lower. … They built skyscrapers, split the atom, put men on the moon, and created the greatest economy the world has ever known. We put tampons in boys’ bathrooms and started OnlyFans.”
