It seems unlikely anyone would accuse James Talarico, Texas’ incoming U.S. senator, of not being in it for the long haul.

After all, the state rep launched his U.S. Senate campaign 14 months ago in his hometown of Round Rock.

But if anyone doubts his sustained commitment, Talarico on Thursday filed with the Federal Election Commission to run for the U.S. Senate again in 2032, when his yet-unstarted six-year term ends.

The filing re-designates the Talarico for Texas PAC as his principal campaign committee. It also authorizes 10 additional political action committees, including the Blue Senate Candidate Fund and the Pappas, Peltola, Talarico, Vindman Senate Victory Fund to continue raising funds on his behalf.

Texas politics is a mess. We make it a readable mess.
