Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s alleged girlfriend, Tracy Duhon, a religious influencer from Louisiana, has largely been kept from public view during his campaign for U.S. Senate.

Until recently, the primary public glimpses of the pair came as they jetted off on vacation to Europe and appeared celebrating New Year’s Eve with U.S. fugitives in Dubai.

However, a Tuesday report by the New York Times reveals more details about the couple, including Duhon’s registration as a Democrat in her home state of Louisiana.

Unlike in Texas, voters register by party in the Pelican State. The Times report doesn’t state how long Duhon has been registered as a Democrat, though it revealed that she’s not registered to vote in Texas.

Paxton aides have kept Duhon off the campaign trail, out of his ads and away from political reporters, according to the Times report. Similarly, Paxton hasn’t accompanied the New Orleans socialite to fundraising galas in her hometown.

However, Paxton and Duhon have moved in together, according to the Times’ investigation. The pair reportedly share a home in a gated community in Frisco, just outside Dallas.

The home was purchased in February by a blind trust whose beneficiaries are hidden, but both Paxton and Duhon have been tied to the property, the paper reports. Paxton recently used the home as his mailing address, and records show police have called Duhon’s phone number several times this year following false burglar alarms at the property.

Duhon reportedly came into Paxton’s life shortly before he launched his Senate bid. The two were photographed together at the Kentucky Derby in May 2024 along with Duhon’s then-husband Troy Duhon.

Notably, Ken Paxton’s wife — Republican Texas Sen. Angela Paxton — wasn’t present at the event.

One month after the Derby, Paxton and his wife stopped living together, according to details that emerged when Angela Paxton filed for divorce on “biblical grounds” in July 2025. Subsequent court filings revealed the separation and eventual divorce were related to accusations of infidelity.

Duhon filed for divorce from her husband of 35 years just two months after the Derby.

Since then, Paxton and Duhon have become a part of each other’s lives, though their public appearances give little indication, the Times reported. Duhon has only been briefly glimpsed in clips of the pair boarding a plane to Iceland and walking hand in hand in London. An older video that surfaced recently shows them ringing in 2025 while watching fireworks in Dubai alongside two fugitives fleeing U.S. fraud charges.

Duhon has built a following as a Christian influencer who preaches redemption, especially in her hometown of New Orleans. She also co-founded the Christian nonprofit Giving Hope NOLA with her ex-husband, a car dealership magnate.

Duhon and her ex-husband still appear at the nonprofit’s galas, though they now sit at different tables, the Times reports.

Meanwhile, Paxton is still going through divorce proceedings as he runs for U.S. Senate and trails Democrat James Talarico in recent polls. A report by the Cook Political Report now places Talarico outside the margin of error with a five-point lead.

Texas politics is a mess. We make it a readable mess.
