Thursday presents a unique opportunity to view a collection of works celebrating the Bicentennial of Mexican Independence and the Centennial of the Mexican Revo- lution. The Alchemy of Color is an exhibition created by Italian-Mexican jewelry designer Vic- tor Sabido Basteris. Sabido & Basteris (as the designer’s collection is known) takes inspiration from the colors used in murals found in Mayan temples, and is well-known for applying “ribbons of rainbows” to silver using cutting-edge technology and exclusively natural materials. Also on view: 40 Años de Arte Joven… y los que faltan, a collection of works created by award-winning young artists from Aguascalientes, Nunik Sauret’s Al otro lado del río, an exhibition of paintings and graphics, and Mexico: Two Visions by artists Naomi Siegmann and Bela Gold.
