A sprawling mid-century home recently listed for sale in the Oak Park neighborhood was such a head-turner that it was included in the 1964 iteration of an annual “Christmas pilgrimage” of stylish and well-decorated San Antonio homes.

The four-bedroom, four-bath property — now on the market for $1.2 million — was one of seven homes featured that year’s tour, according to a San Antonio Express report. It earned its spot on the pilgrimage for its “distinct” Asian flair, the article noted.

While the Asian decor appears to have been toned down since then, the 4,100-square-foot home still features an abundance of mid-century touches that speak to its 1962 vintage. Clean angles and exposed roof beams dominate the living areas and floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of natural light.

This home is listed by Judy J. Barnes with Phyllis Browning Co.
