We’ve seen a lot of San Antonio ingenuity on display on the roadways lately — remember the Smart Car jammed into a pickup bed?
But those kinds of roadway risks don’t always pay off.
Case in point: A video posted by Twitter user @moaz1z shows an Alamo City motorist hauling ass down the Interstate while a passenger (or passengers) appear to cling to a newly-purchased mattress through the side window of their truck.
Not surprisingly, the wind wildly whips the mattress around before finally sending it tumbling across the highway. A cheer erupts from the car where the Twitter user filmed the valiant effort.
Guess it explains why so many of us are constantly swerving to avoid discarded mattresses and box springs on our afternoon commutes.
“Only in fucking San Antonio,” indeed.
