NBA superstar Victor Wembanyama showed off his acting chops this week with a cameo in the Season 13 premiere of the animated comedy Futurama

In the episode, which premiered on Monday on Hulu, the Spurs center, who voices over an alien character mistakenly referred to as “Wem-ben-yum-yum,” explains to robot character Bender that height isn’t everything.

“Bender, the true measure of a man is not his physical stature,” the 7-foot-4 Wembanyama says.  “Being tall has its downsides. I mean, sometimes women are into you just for your height.”

KENS5 sports reporter Jeff Garcia tweeted out a clip of Wemby’s minute-and-a-half TV debut — and Spurs fans couldn’t seem to get enough.

“Pretty awesome,” user @chrisgb002000 replied.

“Gotta go watch this episode ASAP!!” user @ssjonB chimed in.

Wembanyama isn’t the first Spurs player to dabble in Hollywood, though.

NBA Hall of Famer David Robinson cameoed as himself in the 2018 basketball comedy Uncle Drew

Meanwhile, an entire documentary on Tim Duncan’s life titled The Boy From St. Croix is set to premiere at the Austin Film Festival next month.
