Retired AT&T executive Willam E. Dreyer and his wife Linda recently relisted their Olmos Park mansion for just shy of $2.8 million — a $1 million cut from the asking price when they first placed it on the market in May 2022.

This is the fourth time the Dreyers have lowered the listing price for the 5,800-square-foot brick-exterior property, which was built in 1941.

The home, situated on more than an acre, has undergone recent updates that show off a “high-quality finish-out that marries traditional charm with contemporary elegance,” according to the latest sales listing. “Grand formal rooms provide the perfect setting for entertaining, while a cozy study offers a quiet retreat.”

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home also includes an Olympic-size pool, a separate guest suite and a four-car garage, according to listing details.

The Dreyers moved to the Alamo City ’90s as part of Southwestern Bell’s relocation, and William Dreyer retired in 1998 as senior executive vice president. In the years following, the telecom company underwent a series of acquisitions that reconstituted it as AT&T.

This home is listed by Jason Glast with Phyllis Browning Co.
