It’s official: the Roadrunners are bound for their sixth bowl appearance.
The University of Texas at San Antonio will take on Coastal Carolina in the Myrtle Beach Bowl in Conway, South Carolina, the College Football Selection Committee said Sunday.
The game is scheduled for 10 a.m. CST on Dec. 23 at Brooks Stadium, and it marks the first-ever matchup between the Roadrunners and the Chanticleers.
Both teams boast a 6-6 overall record. However, UTSA has won the last three of four games this season. Those include the program’s first-ever win over a ranked team: a 44-36 home triumph Nov. 2 over the University of Memphis Tigers.
UTSA goes into the contest with Coastal Carolina in search of its second bowl victory in program history. The team secured the first of those with a 35-17 win over Marshall University in the 2023 Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl.
The big game will be broadcast on ESPN, and tickets for the Myrtle Beach Bowl start at $35 via SeatGeek.
Meanwhile, the No. 17 Bringham Young University Cougars will take on the No. 23-seeded University of Colorado-Boulder Buffaloes in San Antonio’s 32nd Annual Valero Alamo Bowl.
The Alamo Bowl will take place at 6:30 p.m. CST Dec. 28 and be nationally televised on ABC. Tickets start at $85 via Ticketmaster.
