The Dakota East Side Ice House is bringing Sunday brunch to a whole new level with its weekly CARE-E-oke Brunch, benefitting Travis Park Church, a key LGBTQ+ ally.

The East Side dining staple is hosting free karaoke events from noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays, featuring food and drink, performances by local talents and a pop-up market.

While the gatherings — which began in earnest earlier this month – are free, organizers encourage attendees make donations to Travis Park Church.

The church, located at 230 E. Travis St., is recognized for hosting the Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance and for assisting refugees. It’s also among the first San Antonio churches to perform same-sex marriages.

Dakota East Side Ice House’s CARE-E-oke brunches are family-, pet- and LGBTQ+-friendly.
