Some count down the days ‘til Christmas (145), while others (a bulk of native San Antonians) count down the days to Halloween (90). And just as retailers staff up for the holidays, the 13th Floor Haunted House San Antonio is on the hunt for fresh talent to raise the X-factor of its haunted house. The company is looking for 50 actors who can scare the bejeezus out of their judges and send customers off with thrilling nightmare fare.
For the natives of SA, who grow up on zombie-fever and ghost tracks, that’s no small task. The standards are high and the competition stiff, so bring you bloody A game.
“Fear no longer resides solely in the haunted house, but before and after as well. We’re looking for actors and actresses who are ready to stay in character as soon as their makeup has been applied,” says Chris Stafford, co-owner of SA’s 13th Floor. “As the 13th Floor continues to grow, so does the talent.”
Beginning this Saturday, auditions will be held at 5 p.m. and 12 a.m. throughout August, September and October.
