Hot Holidays on Houston, the inaugural holiday event organized by the San Antonio Coffee Festival, has been rescheduled due to forecasts of rain.

The downtown gathering, originally scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7, is now pushed back to 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, officials said in an emailed statement. Even so, they added that “[t]he event will still feature everything that makes Hot Holidays on Houston so special.”

The nighttime market will take place along Houston Street between the Alameda Theater and the Frost Bank Promenade and feature dozens of vendors hawking seasonal beverages, including cider, chai, holiday cocktails and Mexican hot chocolate.

The event will also feature food from La Panadería, The Beignet Stand and Renee’s Fine Chocolates along with live music from Bexar Brass, Mariachi Las Valquirias and others.

Hot Holidays will honor existing tickets for the rescheduled date, according to organizers. Tickets run $40 and include a commemorative mug, eight beverage sample tickets. They’re still available online.

The festival is a partnership between the city of San Antonio, Centro San Antonio and Visit San Antonio.
