“Había Una Vez,” an exhibition by San Antonio siblings Manola and Maria Ramirez, will open this Friday at Centro Cultural Aztlan.
The show is billed as an interactive, immersive visual art experience dedicated to exploring the bicultural experiences of immigrant families.
An invitation for the viewer to walk into the story of their lives, art and experiences, the exhibit further seeks to deepen the understanding of migrants and their inevitably fractured identities — an essential part of San Antonio’s cultural milieu.
Bold and graphic, the Ramirezes’ style invites viewers of all ages to participate in their experience.
