California-based restaurant chain Squeeze In, a brunch-heavy chain known for bragging that it serves the “best omelettes on the planet,” will open a San Antonio location as its first expansion into Texas.
Squeeze In officials said the company is scouting for real estate in the Alamo City and hopes to launch the new dining spot in mid-2026. As of press time, a spokesman was unable to reveal more details about parts of town under consideration.
The 51-year-old chain has eight locations across California and Nevada with two more on the way, according to its website.
“San Antonio has a strong food culture and a growing population, just two of the reasons we selected the greater area for our first location in Texas,” Squeeze In co-owner Shila Morris said in an emailed statement. “Squeeze In has become a generational favorite thanks to an unbeatable menu of breakfast and brunch classics, served with warm hospitality and at a great value. We’re looking forward to San Antonio-area residents getting a taste of what we’re all about in the new year.”
Founded in the mountain ski town of Truckee, California, the Squeeze In chain is known for restaurants featuring brightly hued walls guests can sign with a Sharpie along with eclectic art and decor and what the company calls an “energetic vibe.” In addition to their much-touted omelettes, the restaurants feature a menu full of breakfast and brunch items such as banana walnut pancakes, breakfast nachos and multiple varieties of eggs Benedict, while lunch focuses on burgers, sandwiches and salads.
In keeping with its brunch theme, Squeeze In locations also serve bloody marys and and mimosas.
