Luscious Dumplings, a California-based chain known for its Chinese-style dumpling and noodle dishes, will soon opening its first San Antonio location.

In a recent Instagram post, the business said it will soon debut a restaurant at 12485 1-10 West near La Cantera, although it offered no official opening date. The store will be the company’s seventh, with the rest located in California, Pennsylvania and Colorado.

“Luscious Dumplings is officially coming to Texas!” the chain said in its Instagram clip. “Get ready for handmade dumplings, savory noodles, and comforting broths — all made with love, tradition, and flavor.”

Married couple Alan Lam and Grace Li founded the first Luscious Dumpling in 2001 in San Gabriel, California, according to the company’s website. Lam was born and raised in Shenyang, a northern province known for its dumplings, and the couple’s daughter and son-in-law have since helped the business expand beyond its flagship location.

The restaurants, which hand-make their dumplings daily, have been recognized as Bib Gourmand selections by the prestigious Michelin Guide.
