Dallas-based Sixty Vines, a restaurant chain specializing in wine and wine country-inspired food, is making its first foray into the San Antonio market.
The company will open a location inside the North Side’s La Cantera development early next year, spending $2.5 million on the project, state regulatory filings show. Construction work on the eatery, 15900 La Cantera Parkway, will get underway in October.
The Sixty Vines concept is owned by FB Society, the restaurant group behind Ida Clare, Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar and Haywire, all of which have San Antonio locations. Officials with the chain were unable for comment at press time.
Self-described as “the winemaker’s restaurant,” Sixty Vines equips its locations with a sustainable tap system offering 60 different wines, which enables it to avoid sending bottles to the landfill. Its vino offerings include selections from Wine Spectator’s revered annual Top 100 Wines list.
Sixty Vines locations are open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunches and offer a food menu focused on seasonal produce and locally sourced ingredients. In addition to pizzas, pastas and sandwiches, they offer steak, poultry and seafood entrees, along with sharable appetizers and boards.
The restaurants also include full bar along with a selection house cocktails and mocktails.
The 9,000-square-foot San Antonio Sixty Vines will be the chain’s 15th across the United States and its sixth in Texas, according to its website.
