In 1979, a humble Houston meat market dubbed Perry’s Butcher Shop opened its doors for business.
That becomes interesting to San Antonio diners 47 years later, because Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille is paying homage to its roots by offering a pair of meat deals for just 79-cents — a porch chop lunch and a prime rib steak sandwich.
The chain hasn’t yet announced a date for the special, but on an upcoming Friday, all Perry’s locations in San Antonio and Austin will offer coupons for a the ultra-discounted items. Here’s the catch, though: only 100 coupons for each special will be available for the first people in line at each location when the doors open at 10:30 a.m.
That means carnivore eager to take advantage of the Flashback Friday special should keep their eyes on Perry’s social media feeds.
The special is only available for dine-in orders and for guests 21 and up. This is the first year the Texas-based restaurant chain has expanded its one-day-only celebration with a new lunch special.
The San Antonio Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille location located inside La Cantera at 15900 La Cantera Parkway, #222000.
The chain’s usual Friday lunch special typically retails around $24 and is available for dine-in or to-go every Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The $29 caramelized prime rib steak sandwich is only available during Friday lunch service from 10:30 a.m to 5 p.m.
