A new stand-alone Chick-fil-A restaurant is coming to San Antonio, this one near the University of Texas at San Antonio campus, state regulatory filings show.

The new Chick-fil-A, 5722 UTSA Blvd., is scheduled to begin construction in January with a projected completion date in June 2026, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The store will be built from the ground up, costing an estimated $4.5 million, records indicate.

The 5,000-square-foot restaurant will be the Atlanta-based fried-chicken chain’s 37th in the Alamo City.
