It was (probably) a cold, dreary day when the CIA Bakery Cafe closed its doors on December 20, 2013 in order to make better use of their baking facility.
But maybe our prayers to the pastry gods have finally been answered?
The CIA Bakery Cafe announced a glorious return this March 12 through April 16 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the Student Service Center (The Culinary Institute of America-San Antonio, 312 Pearl Pkwy.).
Returning menu items include alfajores, almond dragees, banana and white chocolate tart, biscotti, Cannellé de Bordeaux, chocolate XS cake, cranberry-orange scones and more; while savory items are also making a return with ham and gruyere sandwiches, mac and cheese, and soups and salads of the day.
