Mr. C’s Fried Chicken and Waffles has expanded its Southern comfort food mini-empire with a new location near the University of Texas at San Antonio.

With the opening of the spot at 6819 N. Loop 1604 West, the homegrown chain now has three locations. The new outpost began serving biscuits and gravy, fried green tomatoes and — of course — fried chicken and waffles on Monday, August 9, according to an Instagram post.

Initially, the new store will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., according to the Instagram post.

Mr. C’s other two additional locations are at 7907 W. Loop 1604 North and 9390 Huebner Road.
