An early morning fire has damaged Bésame Bar and Food Truck Park, a colorfully lit foodie destination north of downtown, KSAT reports.

Emergency crews arrived at the site around 4:30 a.m. Thursday to extinguish a blaze that had spread to the front of the building and roof, according to the TV station.

It’s unclear at press time how much damage the fire caused to the structure, located at 511 E. Grayson St., not far from Broadway.

The Government Hill business was closed at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported, according to KSAT.

Restaurateur Ricky Ortiz — the mind behind downtown’s similarly colorful El Camino food truck park — opened Bésame in December 2022. The property includes a full bar overseen by Ortiz’s business Melanie Barrows along with a rotating cast of food trucks.
