Coffee shop and juice bar Revolución is taking over the Olmos Park space that previously housed Greenhouse Coffee, a short-lived venture from the owners of Michelin star-winning restaurant Mixtli.

A temporary sign announcing the San Antonio-based chain’s pending arrival hangs in the window of the strip-center space at 223 E. Hildebrand Ave., Suite 101.

Revolución’s website also lists the Olmos Park spot among its stores, which include an Alamo Heights flagship along with one each in downtown San Antonio and Austin.

Revolución officials were unavailable for comment on their plans for the new store, and the company’s website included no information on how soon the Olmos Park spot will be open for business.

A look through the window of the strip-center store made it apparent that Greenhouse’s fixtures and decor had been removed and work had begun refurbishing the store’s interior.

Founded in 2012, Revolución focuses on serving responsibly sourced coffee that’s roasted in-house. The stores’ food is largely plant-based and prepared from scratch or sourced from local suppliers, according to the business’ website. The stores also use eco-friendly packaging.

In 2021, Revolución opened another San Antonio store inside The Rim retail development. However, that location has since changed hands, reopening earlier this year reopened as Terra Cafe, according to news site SATX Today.
