The cavalcade of San Antonio restaurant closures is continuing into the new year.

Stone Oak spot Thatta Boy Burgers revealed its closure this week in a social media post, joining a string recent shutdowns that also includes Broadway’s La Madeleine, Southtown’s The Frutería and the East Side’s Dignowity Meats.

In its Facebook, the burger spot at 23503 Hardy Oak Blvd, #105, cited “unforeseen circumstances” that led to it to close after just six months in business.

“We are truly thankful for your loyalty and support,” Thatta Boy’s ownership added.

When it launched last July, Thatta Boy billed itself as an old-fashioned burger-joint experience where diners could enjoy full-fat, made-to-order sandos topped with fresh ingredients.
