San Antonio’s third Trader Joe’s grocery is in the works and will open this winter along I-10 north of the Medical Center, state construction filings show.

The nearly 15,000-square-foot store will be located at 11745 IH 10 West, Suite 745, in the Huebner Oaks shopping center, according to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records. The project is expected to cost $900,000 and wrap up in early December.

The new Trader Joe’s will join the company’s other two Alamo City stores, located at 403 N. Loop 1604 West in Sonterra Village and 350 E. Basse Road in Quarry Village.

The Monrovia, California-based chain, known for compact stores largely stocked with private-label products, first entered the San Antonio market in 2012. It operates roughly 600 stores nationwide.
