Despite hints of a late-2025 opening, it appears Trader Joe’s highly anticipated third San Antonio location won’t be slinging Two Buck Chuck until sometime next year.
Initially, Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filings indicated that work on the Huebner Oaks store, 11745 I-10, would start June 2 and wrap up in early December.
However, Trader Joe’s website subsequently listed the location’s launch date as 2026, as first reported locally by MySA. Following the report, the site has since been updated to simply say it’s “coming soon.”
Officials with the Monrovia, California-based chain, known for its low prices and gourmet private-label goods, told MySA they hope to share more details about the store’s planned opening soon.
Trader Joe’s two operating San Antonio locations are on Basse Road near the Quarry and in Hollywood Park on North Loop 1604.
