Way back in the ’90s, a time when rock ‘n’ roll still meant something, At the Drive-In was born in the desert heat of El Paso, TX. After their initial breakup in ’01, founding members Omar Rodríguez-López  and Cedric Bixler-Zavala formed a little band known as the Mars Volta. After the Mars Volta’s split in 2012, the only way to go forward seemed to be a trip to the past.

So now, in 2016, At the Drive-In, with all of the original members, is getting back together to release new material following 2000’s post-hardcore epic Relationship of Command, as well as go on a world tour.

Unfortunately, in a dick-move on their part, there are no dates announced for Texas, but let’s keep our fingers crossed and fist in the air that At the Drive-In will return to their hometown (and San Antonio).

See tour dates and a teaser for the reunion below.
