The Cattle Country Festival will return to Gonzales next spring, marking its second year of bringing together camping, outdoor fun and some of the biggest names in country music.

Scheduled for April 10-12, the event will feature hit-making honky tonkers of yesterday and today, including Tanya Tucker, Clay Walker, Parker McCollum, Clint Black, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Chase Rice, Shenandoah and more.
The festival also will serve as a bicentennial celebration for Gonzales, located an hour east of San Antonio. The gathering will take place on a sprawling, 400-acre ranch on the banks of the Guadalupe River. Attendees are invited to make use of the river with designated swimming and fishing areas. Vendors will round out the weekend’s offerings with food, drinks and shopping.
Tanya Tucker, who had her first hit at age 13 in 1972 with “Delta Dawn,” is one of the Cattle Country’s legacy headliners. She was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame last year, and her latest album, Sweet Western Sound — a collaboration with Brandi Carlile — has drawn critical praise.

Ray Wylie Hubbard also holds down the classic side of the lineup. The Texas singer-songwriter is known for humorous and raunchy classics such as “Redneck Mother” and “Snake Farm,” a song about the infamous reptilian roadside attraction right outside San Antonio.

Clint Black, Shenandoah and Clay Walker will represent ’80s and ’90s country at the fest. Walker is known for hits such as “This Woman and This Man,” while Black had hits including “Killin’ Time” and “A Better Man.” Shenandoah blew the barn doors off with “Two Dozen Roses,” among others.

The bill also features young upstarts who have already amassed huge followings. Those include Texas native Parker McCollum, who was born in Conroe and now has millions of followers online. His track “Burn it Down” has 16 million views on YouTube while “To Be Loved By You” has 19 million.

Chase Rice has also amassed tens of millions of YouTube views videos for songs including “Ready Set Roll” or “Ride featuring Macy Malloy,” representing a new iteration of country that more closely resembles R&B with a twang.

Other artists on the bill include Wyatt Flores, Reckless Kelly, Aaron Watson, Pecos & The Rooftops, 49 Winchester, Drake White, Wade Bowen, Ty Myers, Giovannie & The Hired Guns, Sophia Scott, Cameron Sacky Band, Tyler Haverson, Josh Ward, Black Pistol Fire and Logan Mize.

As one of the biggest surprises on the lineup, Austin electrofunk duo Ghostland Observatory will provide late-night sets to keep the party going.

Presale passes for the festival start at $179 and are available at the Cattle Country Festival website. Tent camping, RV and VIP glamping passes are also available. You can event rent your own private porta-potty for $199.
