A restored, 106-year-old home has hit the market in San Antonio’s north-of-downtown Beacon Hill neighborhood, and its front porch and walkout balcony seem like they could have once belonged to a much larger house.
Even so, they’re original features. The property’s listing agent, Derrell Skillman, estimates that each has about 300 square feet of entertaining space. Impressive, given that three-bedroom, three-bath residence is around 2,700 square feet in total.
“You don’t find many porches of that size,” he added. “Unless they’re on million-dollar homes.”
The property is for sale after a roughly four-year restoration by a member of the U.S. military, who purchased it after being stationed in SA. That reno work includes adding a distinctive circular tile pattern to the porch and transforming it into a relaxed outdoor seating area.
Additionally, the home includes a one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath detached apartment that was used as an Airbnb property. It’s being sold partially furnished.
This home is listed by Derrell Skillman with Redfin Corp.
