Season
1. General Auditions for The Classic Theatre’s 2010/11 Season
Actors will be auditioning for Much Ado About Nothing (William Shakespeare), Blithe Spirit (Noel Coward), The Lion in Winter (James Goldman) and Hedda Gabler (Henrik Ibsen)
Audition Place: The Sterling Houston Theater (Jump-Start) at the Blue Star Arts Complex
Auditions will be scheduled in 5 minute time slots. Actors should bring a headshot and resume. They need to perform 2 contrasting monologues. 1 should be Shakespeare and 1 Modern/Contemporary
Audition times/dates:
6 pm-9 pm on Sunday, March 14th
7 pm- 9 pm on Monday March 15th
7 pm for callbacks if needed on Tuesday, March 16.
**All actors cast will be paid a stipend.**

2. Overtime Theatre Auditions
For actors who want to be in an original play this spring, there’s an audition this Sunday, Feb. 28, 6-9 pm at the Overtime Theater. The audition is for “The Happy Couple,” written by local playwright James Venhaus and directed by Matthew Byron Cassi.
Roles are available for 3 men and 2 women:
Billy: Male, big and not so bright, in his 20’s
Angel: Female, angry, bitter 35 year old
Michael: Male, lawyer, mid to late 30’s
Mary Elizabeth: Female, his wife, in her 30’s
Eddie: Male, blues musician, in his 40’s
Auditions will consist of monologues and cold readings from the script. Please prepare a 1-2 minute comedic or dramatic monologue and bring resume/headshots.
Showdates are April 9 – May 1, 2010.
