As K-pop and anime continue to permeate American culture, yet another low-cost Japanese retail store is opening a San Antonio location.

Lifestyle retailer Teso Life has leased a 26,250-square-foot space at University Square in Northwest San Antonio, according to the Express-News. A hard opening date for the location at 12730 I-10 West remains anyone’s guess.

Teso Life follows the arrival of Daiso, another Japanese retail chain with a similar focus. Daiso opened its first San Antonio location in June with lines of eager customers stretching out the door.

Teso Life brands itself as a more upscale version of Diaso, offering “high-quality, low-cost” products, according to the company’s website.

Teso Life currently operates 18 U.S. locations, including in outlets in Dallas and Houston. It sells fashion, food, stationary and makeup products, among other items.
