San Antonio International Airport this week landed its first nonstop flight to the Caribbean with year-round service to San Juan, Puerto Rico, via Spirit Airlines.

The new nonstop flight will depart San Antonio every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 4:47 p.m. CST and arrive at San Juan Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport at 11:37 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time, according to airport officials.

Returning flights will depart Puerto Rico at 11:12 a.m. local time and arrive back in the Alamo City around 3:30 p.m.

The flight to the tropical U.S. territory is Spirit Airline’s eighth nonstop offering from San Antonio. Its other nonstop destinations include Dallas-Fort Worth, Newark, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, and Tampa.

Tickets to San Juan on Spirit from San Antonio start at $160 per round trip.
