Today may be Christmas Eve, but the “winter” weather is great.

The Facebook photos of the classic snowy Christmas may be nice to look at, but a nice warm Texas day in December is hard to beat.

The National Weather Service Austin-San Antonio reports that Christmas Day temperatures could end up in the lower 80s. Yesterday, temps landed in the low 80s with an 83 temp recorded at the airport.

If that’s true on Christmas, it will be the warmest holiday since 1964, Time Warner Cable News reported.

However, while sunny is nice, be prepared for possible storms Saturday and Sunday. The NWS reports that a cold front, with strong to severe thunderstorms, will push into the area.

Stay informed and be safe! Merry Christmas.

Holiday weekend weather will effect a large portion of the central U.S. Plan and prepare now, especially if you are traveling!
