California-based restaurant chain Squeeze In will mark its Texas debut in October with the opening of a location in far North San Antonio, state regulatory filings show.

The brunch-heavy concept known for bragging it serves the “best omelettes on the planet” first announced plans to open a San Antonio outpost last year. However, it declined to reveal where it would be located.

Now we know that Squeeze In will make its debut this fall at 2230 TPC Parkway, Suite 101, according to a company filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The 2,271 square-foot store is expected to cost around $600,000.

“San Antonio has a strong food culture and a growing population, just two of the reasons we selected the greater area for our first location in Texas,” Squeeze In co-owner Shila Morris said in statement provided to the Current when the concept first revealed its interest in San Antonio. “Squeeze In has become a generational favorite thanks to an unbeatable menu of breakfast and brunch classics, served with warm hospitality and at a great value. We’re looking forward to San Antonio-area residents getting a taste of what we’re all about in the new year.”

Founded in the mountain ski town of Truckee, California, the Squeeze In chain is known for restaurants featuring brightly hued walls that guests can sign with a Sharpie. The spots also feature eclectic art and decor and what the company calls an “energetic vibe.”

In addition to the much-touted omelettes, the restaurants feature a menu full of breakfast and brunch items such as banana walnut pancakes, breakfast nachos and multiple varieties of eggs Benedict. The lunch side focuses on burgers, sandwiches and salads.
