Since the end of October, San Antonio police have been looking for a woman captured in grainy video footage from the VIA Metropolitan Transit park and ride near Windcrest.
She’s accused of abandoning a premature baby in a bathroom at the transit station.
After releasing the photos to the public, police announced an arrest late Wednesday afternoon.
KENS reports that authorities are charging 25-year-old Rose Anne Welch with a charge of abandonment. Authorities tell the television station that the infant is in critical condition. Should the child die, charges would be upgraded.
