SeaWorld San Antonio is the most searched for in-state attraction by Texans looking to get away, according to a new study by ticket-sales website SeatPick.

Nearly 15,000 Texas residents do Google searches monthly for the aquatic mammal-themed amusement park, which makes it the most popular in-state attraction by that metric, according the report’s researchers.

Hmm. Who knew?

SeatPick compiled its rankings using Google search analytics tools on search volumes for attraction ticket-related terms originating from Texas over the past 12 months. The attractions were sourced from Tripadvisor.

The most popular attraction in the nation for Texans to Google was, perhaps unsurprisingly, Walt Disney World in Florida. Out of the top 11 most Google-searched attractions among Texans, six were located in the Lone Star State, and two were in San Antonio — the other being Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

“It’s particularly interesting that despite Texas being home to world-class attractions, only half of the top ten searches are for in-state destinations,” SeatPick CEO Gilad Zilberman said in a statement.
