Texas is one weird place. And San Antonio, by virtue of being located in the state, is plenty odd as well. Makes sense that much of the state and local news the Current covered during 2022 was of the utterly batshit variety.

This year, we were subjected to a cop caught smoking weed on his own in-car camera, public art showing Ted Cruz and Greg Abbott sharing a tender moment and a holy roller mom warning parents that the movie Hocus Pocus 2 will unleash a wave of demonic possessions.
