The Tropical Smoothie Cafe chain is celebrating the opening of its 10th Alamo City location this weekend by offering free smoothies for a year to the first 50 customers in line.
The grand opening ceremony kicks at 8 a.m. Saturday at the new location at 7411 N. Loop 1604 East, according to company officials.
Those who didn’t make the early cut, won’t leave empty handed, though. Guests at the grand opening giveaway can still enjoy $1.99 smoothies all day, the owners said.
Atlanta-based Tropical Smoothie Cafe offers customizable smoothies in addition to breakfast items like flatbreads, açaí bowls and bacon wraps. The fast-casual concept also has savory entrees for lunch and dinner such as a turkey bacon ranch sandwich, quesadillas and protein-filled wraps.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe has operated in San Antonio since at least 2018. It has more than 1,750 locations nationwide.
