Amid growing panic that Elon Musk is dismantling the federal government with no oversight, someone has defaced a downtown Brownsville mural of the billionaire and top Trump donor, according to Border Report

The words “Deny, Defend, Depose” and an anarchy symbol were spray painted across the SpaceX CEO’s face in a mural reading “Boca Chica to Mars,” the news site reports. Musk’s commercial space-flight company operates from Boca Chica, a peninsula along the Texas Gulf Coast.

Of course, “Deny, Defend, Depose” is a phrase associated with the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson because authorities found it inscribed on shell casings left at the crime scene.

Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency has gained access to “highly restricted” government records on millions of federal employees as part of a broader move to seize control over the government’s main personnel agency, the Washington Post reported Thursday, citing U.S. officials familiar with the matter.

The federal workers whose records are now under Musk’s control include Treasury and State Department officials in sensitive security positions, according to the Post.

Since Trump took office last month, Musk has claimed he’s empowered to put federal workers on administrative leave in violation of long established civil-service protections. He also closed down the congressionally codified U.S. Agency for International Development in violation of limits on the power of the executive branch.
