Texans can always count on Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller to stir up controversy. This time, however, his target is … the BDSM community?
Miller shared a tweet on Tuesday characterizing leftists as depraved freaks and included an assortment of photos of people in “puppy play” masks as “proof” of liberals’ deviant ways.
“Just a reminder that leftists are depraved, fetishistic weirdos who desperately need Jesus,” the caption to Miller’s meme read.
Miller’s opponent in the 2026 election Clayton Tucker shared the post on Threads adding, “My name is Clayton Tucker and I’m running to replace this fool.”
The photos stem from a 2022 USA Today story about an Army investigation that transpired after photos surfaced of soldiers at a base in Hawaii wearing bondage gear and dog masks. In some of the images, soldiers posed in sexually suggestive or submissive poses.
Army brass considered the photos potential evidence of “conduct unbecoming of an officer” — particularly because they had traveled so far and “become so politicized” on social media, according to internal communications from the military branch obtained by USA Today.
Proof of the soldiers’ political affiliation isn’t publicly available, despite Miller’s claims in the meme.
Col. Ravage, one of the soldiers allegedly pictured in the meme, caused a viral sensation on social media around that time when he came out as a furry in a post announcing his retirement. In it, he referred to himself as a “#ServiceDawg.”
Ravage doesn’t share political posts on his BlueSky account — just furry photos and puppy pics.
The guy is nothing if not consistent, but he doesn’t seem to be harming anyone.
So what’s up with the Ag Comish’s fascination? Miller would do well to remember the old adage, when you point a paw digit, three more point back at you.
