Over the weekend, NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley doubled down on his assessment of San Antonio women’s waistlines.

“Yes, ya’ll got some big bitches here,” the apparently cancel-proof commentator said Sunday in front of several thousand people at an NCAA Men’s Final Four event in the Alamo City.

Barkley delivered the remark from the stage at the Capital One Jam Fest at Hemisfair. TikTok user @itsashleyadamsmf caught the moment on video, which has since gone viral, amassing more than 35,000 likes and nearly 10,000 shares as of press time.

As can be heard in the clip, Barkley’s comment drew a mix of laughs and boos from the crowd.

Despite disparaging the weight of its residents, Barkley had kind words for San Antonio, overall — even referring to it as a “great city.”

“I love Gregg Popovich and the Spurs,” he added. “San Antonio, y’all put on a major, major great show.”

Barkley’s dig is part of his long-running joke about the girth of San Antonians compared to that other U.S. cities. During TNT’s Inside the NBA TV show, the former power forward often traded quips on the subject with co-host and San Antonio high school grad Shaquille O’Neal.

While a recent study did name San Antonio one of the nation’s most obese cities, it’s hard to take Barkley too seriously. After all, the “Round Mound of Rebound,” once publicly confessed to weighing in at more than 350 pounds.
