San Antonio’s got more than Tex-Mex going for it, according to a report released this week by restaurant review site Yelp.

Yelp released a list of the nation’s 10 best cities for barbecue, as determined by user reviews, and the Alamo City took No. 2 on the list. The results come just before National Barbecue Day, which falls on May 16.

Of the top 10 cities, only two — San Antonio and Austin – are located in Texas. The state’s capital city took home the list’s top spot.

According to Yelp users, the best barbecue joint in the Alamo City is Curry Boys BBQ, 563 E Courtland Place, whose fusion of Texas-style smoked meat with Southeast Asian flavors scored an average rating of 4.6 stars. Other San Antonio standouts include Smoke Shack BBQ, Garcia BBQ and Reese Bros Barbecue.

Meanwhile, Jim’s Smokehouse was the best-reviewed barbecue spot in Austin.

  5. Charleston, South Carolina
