Teddy B’s Burgers, Hot Dogs & More is the latest locally owned Alamo City eatery to throw in the towel.
In a Sunday Facebook post, the Northwest San Antonio burger spot said it’s permanently closing at the end of the month.
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our customer base for their loyalty over the past 10 years,” the post said. “We aim to preserve our menu offerings for the remainder of our operation.”
The burger joint at 6392 Babcock Road didn’t give an exact date for the closure.
However, Teddy B’s announcement comes scant weeks after its ownership took to social media to ask for customer support. In an Aug. 4 Facebook post, the business’ owners warned they had “experienced a notable decline in customer traffic” which had hurt their ability to maintain costs.
Teddy B’s is just the latest San Antonio food and beverage business to announce a closure this year.
Last week, Bonds Rock Bar, a local mecca for heavy metal music, said it was closing after 27 years on Soledad Street. Days earlier, Busted Sandal Brewing revealed plans to call it quits and close all three of its Alamo City area locations after 11 years in business.
