Oh, the things we say when we’re young. 

For the large majority of us, they are but momentary embarrassments that pop into our minds as we reminisce about times past.

For presidential candidates, they are another matter.

In a YouTube video published Saturday, a young Ted Cruz — now a Republican senator not really representing Texas as he battles madman Donald Trump for the Republican presidential nomination — talks of his dreams for the future, which include world domination. 

The video is from 1988, when Cruz was a high school senior at Second Baptist School in Houston.
