The mainstage season for the Tobin Center’s in-house theater company, 100A Productions, opens Wednesday, Sept. 16, with I Saw the Lights, written by and starring Jaston Williams and directed by Chris McGarry (The Sopranos).
Inspired by the infamous mass UFO sightings over Lubbock in 1951, this re-envisioned multi-character play explores how different people interpret singular events according to their individual beliefs, predispositions and deeply personal recollections.
Williams — co-creator, co-writer and longtime star of Greater Tuna and its sequels — is joined by a stellar group of local thespians who bring both humor and wonder to the stage for this series of performances.
