The plant-focused Saladworks and Frutta Bowls chains will open a second San Antonio restaurant in May, this one in Stone Oak.
Located at 19141 Stone Oak Parkway, Suite 108, the store will focus on salads, smoothies and açai bowls diners can customize by selecting from 60-plus fresh and healthy ingredients, according to officials with Florida-based Woworks, which owns both concepts.
Saladworks is a 35-year-old fast-casual restaurant chain that allows customers to build their own salads, wraps and grain bowls or choose from signature favorites, while Frutta Bowls serves up açaí superfood bowls, smoothies and more. Saladworks operates roughly 150 locations nationwide and Frutta Bowls roughly 40, some co-branded.
Both chains entered the San Antonio market last fall with the opening of a Saladworks-Frutta Bowls in North East San Antonio’s Los Patios development.
The Stone Oak Saladworks-Frutta Bowls is owned by San Antonio-based franchisee Tiffany Tostado. It’s the first location for her to operate for either concept.
“Opening this restaurant has been a labor of love,” Tostado said. “I’m excited to be providing a space that feels just as nourishing as the meals we serve — a place where families, students and professionals alike can relax, recharge and enjoy something fresh and delicious.”
