Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen plans to open a sixth San Antonio location, this one in the Alamo Ranch area, state regulatory filings show.
The Irving-based comfort food chain will spend $3.8 million to build a new store at 11256 Alamo Ranch Parkway, near the Santikos Casa Blanca development and Loop 1604, according to documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Work on the 6,200-square-foot restaurant will begin next February with an Aug. 23, 2027, completion date on the books.
Cheddar’s is known for scratch-made classic American fare ranging from chicken fingers and breaded onion rings to pies baked in-house. Founded in 1979, the chain operates more than 180 restaurants in 27 states.
Cheddar’s officials weren’t immediately available for comment on the company’s San Antonio expansion plans.
Cheddar’s is owned by Florida-based Darden Restaurants, which also operates Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and a variety of other brands.
